It all started with the Blue Crue! I marched all 4 years of high school and have a lot of great memories! Our best season was my senior year. We went the entire season undefested and won the Cavalcade fo Bands American Conference Championship!! It was a little nerve racking waiting for the that scores that night cause we had been right with Upper Moreland all season long and only saw them once and beat them by 4 tenths of a point and that was the week before but in the end we beat them by more then a point and took high music, high visual, overall effect, BEST GUARD, overall high score, and the banner. After we returned to Spring Grove from the 20 minute bus ride to Red Lion we partied in the band room and paraded down Main St. at 1 am. Then, most of the band and our parents headed to Denny's and had a little more fun till 5am!
You can still find me with the band when I'm home from school... in the band hall, helping out at summer practices and band camp, football games and competitions (although I have to say I did go to some football game to see the football team too cause they were kicking some serious ass! First time they won the division in 10 years, first time in the playoffs in 18 years, first time in the District III Championship game EVER!! They lost there but they still had an awesome season!! I was so proud of them! DO THAT BOYS!!)
One of my more recent Spring Grove memories was this October. I had learned about West Chester from seeing them at competitions but since I have been there we had never run into each other till they came to our home show! Performing for them had to be the best experience at West Chester, it was wat more exciting then just performing for any of the other bands. Having them there was great and they were the best audience you got ask for and their reaction after the show was more then I expected!! I LOVE THE BLUE CRUE!!! I wanna say hi to all of my guard girls, see ya real soon! And my bandie boys too!
